We are pleased to announce the 2013 winners representing our Council in this national competition.

The first round involved 73 girls and boys ages 10-14. The winners from that competition all from St. Michael Catholic School were:

10 year olds: Luke Cashiola & Alessandra Garofalo
11 year olds: Charles Peckham, Haden McKeehan and Matina Smith
12 year olds: Jack Podsednik & Elizabeth Anne Charbonnet
14 year old: Connor Aaronson

This group of seven then went on to district competition on Sunday February 2, 2013, and each won in their respective age groups.

They will now advance to the Regional competition to be held at 9am Saturday February 16, 2013 at St. Pius High School. Good luck and congratulations!

At the Archdiocese level February 16th St. Michael Catholic School had a first and second place finish. In the 10 year old boys' category--Luke Cashiola (19 of 25 free throws) was the runner-up. In a post competition interview Luke was asked what his successful preparation routine was. "Bed by 9:30pm and a kalache for breakfast". A first place was won by Haden McKeehan for the boys' 11 year old group. Congratulations, and best wishes to Haden as he moves on to the State Competition in San Antonio
